Being a musician can come with a multitude of challenges. Having access to mental health support and wellness resources is fundamental to our ability to sustain an active relationship/career in music. MusicPortland and the AFM Musicians Union Local 99 have teamed up to bring you these supportive resources in an easy-to-navigate way.

    Cascade AIDS Project

    Cascade AIDS Project(CAP) is the oldest and largest provider of HIV services in the Pacific Northwest. CAP provides services around health, prevention, testing, housing, and employment for individuals affected by HIV. CAP also provides Peer Support for HIV+ individuals who also require mental health services or linkage to care.

    Asian Health & Service Center – 503-872-8822, State-certified outpatient behavioral health clinic specializing in serving the Asian community. Clinical services are provided by a team of bilingual professionals and contracted psychiatrists. Clients may also access onsite, low-cost naturopathic clinic and Chinese Medicine clinics weekly.

    Avel Gordly Center for Healing – 503-494-4745, A multicultural, adult outpatient treatment clinic offering culturally-specific services for clients identifying with African, African-American, and Southeast Asian cultures. Treats many disorders including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress, bipolar and psychotic disorders, substance abuse/dependence, and gambling.
